CEO & Co-Founder
John Fortunato, MD
Dr. Fortunato is a leading expert in caring for POTS patients with GI symptoms. He is a professor of pediatrics at Lurie Children's Hospital, and also the director for their Neurointestinal and Motility Program.​ As a clinician and a researcher deeply committed to enhancing care, Dr. Fortunato aims to make POTS care more accessible. He created Health Vista to address the challenge of diagnosing complex cases, realizing that a detailed symptom overview is key to connecting the dots for effective treatment.​ Dr. Fortunato received his medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine, and completed his pediatric residency and then pediatric gastroenterology fellowship at Johns Hopkins.

Dr. Fortunato lives with his wife and four boys in the Chicago suburb. He enjoys playing the piano, hiking and reading. He also does international medical humanitarian work that takes him to different countries. Fun fact: Dr. Fortunato is an Air Force flight surgeon with the 445th Airlift Wing and is an expert in Aerospace Medicine.

COO & Co-Founder
Michael Chen, MD
Dr. Chen is a primary care physician in Chicago. He is board-certified in internal medicine, and is also a population health medical director focusing on the use of technology to enable a better and holistic approach to patient care. ​​He is passionate about helping patients and their loved ones navigate the complex healthcare system. He partnered with Dr. Fortunato to start Health Vista with the hope to reduce siloed care in POTS patients who are often misunderstood and marginalized by the healthcare system.​​ Dr. Chen received his medical degree from SUNY Downstate Medical College, and completed his internal medicine residency at Washington University in St. Louis/Barnes Jewish Hospital.

Dr. Chen lives in downtown Chicago. He enjoys taking walks along the lakefront, playing the piano, and skiing. He is a health advocate for the Chicago Chinatown community. Fun fact: Dr. Chen used to play American handball competitively.
